History of NMSSS

The aim of the Nagpur Multipurpose Social Service Society (NMSSS) is to engage in dedicated social development and upliftment of the poor and marginalized sections of society, which commenced in the year 1973. Different ongoing, time bound grant-in-aid projects are implemented through this Organization.

The NMSSS is an organization committed to extend its development programs to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC). The system of reservation in India, nourishes the historically disadvantaged castes and tribes, listed as Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes by the Government of India, also those designated as Other Backwards Classes (OBCs) and also the economically backward section  in the society. The reservation is undertaken to address the historic oppression, inequality, and discrimination faced by those communities and to give these communities a place. It is intended to realize the promise of equality enshrined in the Constitution.

Women, Children and Economically weaker section of the society are providing   needed services in different parts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh States under the Archdiocese of Nagpur.
